Why this book

Be the friend who brings everyone together.

You know that well-connected friend who only exists in the movies? The one who throws the best parties and can set up any introduction you need? Everyone wants to know someone like this who brings people together. The secret is: you can be that person.

The 2-Hour Cocktail Party shows you how, with a simple formula that helps you meet new people, strengthen existing relationships, and leave everyone asking, “When’s your next party?”

  • Must-have supplies

Checklists with everything you need to prepare for a seamless event, so nothing gets forgotten.

  • Proven icebreakers

The best conversation starters I’ve found, why they work, and exactly how and when to use them at your party.

Here’s the whole formula in ten steps. Tick them off as you go.

Over 500 people have told me they hosted their first gathering using this format.

About the author

I moved to New York City with very few friends and less-than-stellar social skills.

But I craved new relationships and exciting opportunities, so I started hosting non-traditional parties. That move opened doors I never could have imagined.

Today, after hosting hundreds of 2-hour parties, I count business owners, artists, and inspiring teachers among a circle of friends that helped me launch a multimillion-dollar company, Museum Hack. New York Magazine called me a host of “culturally significant parties.”

Is this book for beginners?

Yes. It’s written for people with near-zero hosting experience who want to learn how to host a great, simple, small event.

Do I need a big apartment or budget?

Not at all. The formula is built around small, low-cost gatherings, even in a tiny apartment. Connection matters more than the space.

Is there an audiobook?

Yes, and I narrate it. You’ll find it on Audible, Apple Books, and Spotify, alongside the print and ebook editions.
